Jeremiah 10: 23-24 NLT
I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own.
We are not able to plan our own course.
So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle.
For the mountains may move and the hills disappear,
but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
Morning by morning he wakens me
and opens my understanding to his will.
The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.
Whoever believes need never be shaken.
He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so,
people cannot see the whole scope of God’s workfrom beginning to end.
Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.
For if I grow too rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?”
And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.
